RoofstockNew York, NY
$214,000 - $225,000Hybrid

About The Position

As the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), Roofstock's mission is to reinvent the rental housing ecosystem. With a talented team of 750+ employees and offices in the Bay Area and New York City, Roofstock has experienced significant growth, including recent acquisitions and expansion into short-term rental management services. The Senior Product Manager, Leasing is a dedicated product leader for the Leasing & Resident Experience team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership position focused on a revenue-carrying product surface for individuals who thrive at the intersection of Product, Operations, and Growth. The role involves owning the leasing roadmap end-to-end, delivering products that accelerate leasing, and shaping new leasing offerings for self-managing landlords. This position is ideal for an operator-minded product manager with a bias toward action, a focus on driving outcomes, strong written communication skills, and a genuine curiosity about the leasing process. The ideal candidate will be driven to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the leasing pipeline.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of product management experience, including ownership of a revenue-carrying product surface at a software company.
  • Proptech, real estate, or marketplace background strongly preferred; leasing or property management context is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship products through ambiguity and constraint.
  • Strong roadmap and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort in an operator-heavy business environment, with a willingness to shadow operational teams.
  • AI fluency, including experience putting AI into a product.
  • Comfort working with data, including defining funnel metrics, reading dashboards, and root-causing deviations.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Genuine curiosity about customers and comfort talking to them directly.
  • Bias toward action over perfect planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Hunger to learn about the leasing process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives from discovery through execution, collaborating with Engineering and Design on scoping, rollout planning, and post-launch impact analysis.
  • Maintain clear priorities, sizing, and sequencing for leadership, engineering, and operations.
  • Build visibility and workflow layers for the leasing funnel to clarify handoffs, service levels, and automation status, highlighting areas needing attention.
  • Partner with leasing operations to remove bottlenecks and increase team capacity without proportional headcount increases.
  • Understand AI applications within the leasing funnel (screening, scheduling, communication) to drive automation and address quality issues proactively.
  • Shape and validate new leasing products and services for self-managing landlords, from customer discovery to pricing and business modeling.
  • Partner with Growth and go-to-market teams to launch new offerings.
  • Conduct customer research by speaking directly with owners, prospects, leasing agents, and screeners, synthesizing feedback into actionable product decisions.
  • Build and maintain feedback loops to ensure operational signals inform product decisions in real time.
  • Serve as the product counterpart to Engineering and Design, and act as the point of contact for cross-team dependencies with sales, operations, and account management.
  • Support prioritization decisions by balancing strategic goals and operational capacity.
  • Own leasing funnel metrics, including conversion, speed to lease, service-level adherence, and vacancy.
  • Develop and track KPIs to identify risks and opportunities early, and determine root causes for deviations from expectations.
