Senior Product Manager, Leasing

RoofstockOakland, NY
Hybrid

About The Position

As the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), Roofstock's mission is to reinvent the rental housing ecosystem. This role is for a dedicated product leader on the Leasing & Resident Experience team, focusing on the Leasing surface. It's a hands-on, high-ownership position for someone who thrives at the intersection of Product, Operations, and Growth. The Senior Product Manager will own the leasing roadmap end to end, deliver products that help teams lease homes faster, and shape new leasing offerings for self-managing landlords. This role is ideal for an operator-minded product manager with a bias toward action, a focus on driving outcomes, strong written communication, and a genuine curiosity about the leasing process. The ideal candidate will be driven to identify and fix bottlenecks in the leasing pipeline.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of product management experience.
  • Ownership of a revenue-carrying product surface at a software company.
  • Proptech, real estate, or marketplace background strongly preferred.
  • Leasing or property management context is a strong plus.
  • Experience shipping through ambiguity and constraint.
  • Strong roadmap and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort in an operator-heavy business; experience shadowing people doing the work.
  • AI fluency; experience putting AI into a product.
  • Comfort working with data; ability to define funnel metrics, read dashboards, and root-cause numbers.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Genuine curiosity about customers and comfort talking to them directly.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • You should know, or be hungry to learn, how a home actually gets leased.
  • You can hold deadline-bound platform work and growth bets in the same quarter and keep both moving.

Responsibilities

  • Own the leasing product roadmap across retail, institutional, and build-to-rent portfolios, balancing platform commitments against growth opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives from discovery through execution, partnering with Engineering and Design on scoping, rollout planning, and post-launch impact analysis.
  • Ensure priorities, sizing, and sequencing are clear for leadership, engineering, and operations.
  • Build the visibility and workflow layer for the leasing funnel to clarify handoffs, service levels, and automation status.
  • Partner with leasing operations to remove bottlenecks and help the team absorb more volume without proportionally adding headcount.
  • Understand AI's role in the leasing funnel (screening, scheduling, communication) to push automation and address quality issues.
  • Shape and validate new leasing products and services for self-managing landlords, from customer discovery through pricing and business modeling.
  • Partner with Growth and go-to-market teams to launch new offerings.
  • Conduct customer research by talking directly to owners, prospects, leasing agents, and screeners, and synthesize feedback into actionable decisions.
  • Build and maintain feedback loops for operational signals to inform product decisions.
  • Serve as the product counterpart to Engineering and Design and the point of contact for cross-team dependencies (sales, operations, account management).
  • Support prioritization decisions by balancing strategic goals and operational capacity.
  • Own leasing funnel metrics end to end, including conversion, speed to lease, service-level adherence, and vacancy.
  • Develop and track KPIs to surface risks and opportunities early and identify root causes for deviations.
