GoogleSunnyvale, CA
$163,000 - $237,000

About The Position

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. The Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform Safety team is the trust layer beneath Google Cloud's most consequential generative AI products, including Gemini, Veo, and Imagen, and the agents enterprises build on top of them. We operate at the frontier of applied AI safety research, working with Google Deep Mind to translate the latest advances in alignment, red teaming, and provenance into products that Fortune 500 customers can deploy in production. While consumer safety optimizes for the median user, we design the permissive controls, enterprise-grade filters, and provenance guarantees that let regulated industries, media companies, and global platforms adopt generative AI responsibly at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in developer relations, technical product marketing, product management, or related roles.
  • 5 years of experience taking consumer technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • 4 years of experience in Trust and Safety operations management including developing policy and process enforcement frameworks.
  • Experience developing AI related products or within the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Trust and Safety, Cyber-security, or Content Moderation for AI systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security models (e.g., zero-trust, data residency) and Cloud APIs.
  • Understanding of GenAI safety challenges, such as prompt injection, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) safety, and jailbreak classifiers.
  • Ability to balance permissive enterprise needs with global safety policies and reputational risk.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for prompt injection defenses, jailbreak resistance, and secure computer use. These are unsolved frontier problems that determine whether agents can be trusted with real authority.
  • Lead product development for Video (Veo), Audio, and Computer Use safety, where the policy frameworks, evaluation methods, and detection tooling are still being invented.
  • Partner with teams to define how Cloud customers verify, watermark, and audit AI-generated content.
  • Oversee abuse detection systems (cyber misuse, child sexual abuse material (CSAM) adjacent risks, misinformation vectors) and data governance frameworks.
  • Translate the needs of media companies, marketplaces, insurers, and platforms into a coherent product surface.
