Senior Product Manager, Fintech

Boulevard
$120,400 - $185,700Remote

About The Position

Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most. Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspa, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen. We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most. Our team values and celebrates our diverse backgrounds. Being open about who we are and what we do allows us to do the best work of our lives. We believe in equal opportunity for all, and you should too. Come Do the Best Work of Your Life at Boulevard Every transaction that flows through Boulevard is a moment of truth — for the client who just received a service, and for the business trying to run a great operation. Fintech isn't just a feature layer driving substantial innovation and revenue for Boulevard; it's also the trust layer that thousands of businesses rely on to deliver exceptional client service, transact, and grow. When the experience is right, it's seamless. When it's not, friction ripples from the front desk all the way into the business' books. As Boulevard expands, supports complex franchise brands, and grows internationally, the Fintech experience has to scale with it — more flexible, more reliable, and more intuitive for the operators and clients who depend on it every day. As Senior PM, you'll partner closely with a dedicated engineering and design team, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate underlying capabilities into experiences that feel obvious, trustworthy, and complete for a business and their clients. You'll bring rigor to how we measure and improve those experiences over time, using data and customer insight to continuously close the gap between where things are and where they need to be.

Requirements

  • AI-native and high-velocity: You default to AI but don't defer to it. Your fluency with AI tools compresses discovery and sharpens tradeoffs, turning weeks of prototyping into days without losing your product sense along the way
  • 5–8 years of product management experience, with meaningful ownership of payments, fintech, or other high-stakes financial products in a B2B or SaaS environment
  • Technical fluency in payments: you can speak credibly to concepts like PayFac, tokenization and settlement, ACH, disputes, and compliance — without needing an engineer to translate
  • Experience in a PayFac, payment processor, or fintech infrastructure environment
  • Commercial instinct: you connect product and infrastructure decisions to revenue, margin, and customer outcomes, and can make the case for investment in a roadmap full of competing priorities
  • Risk-aware, not risk-driven: you know how to weigh reliability and control against speed and growth, and can build trust with both technical and compliance-minded stakeholders
  • Systems thinker: you can hold multiple interdependent products and teams in view at once, and translate that complexity into a sequenced roadmap
  • Cross-functional influence: you've worked closely with Engineering, Risk/Compliance, Finance, and CX without direct authority

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating in a regulated environment (PCI, card network rules, banking or processor relationships)
  • Experience in vertical SaaS or services-industry platforms

Responsibilities

  • Partner on the roadmap for emerging fintech products — Capital lending, new payment experiences, funds acceleration capabilities, and future financial products — translating early-stage capabilities into experiences customers can trust and adopt, and helping define what Boulevard's fintech surface area looks like next.
  • Own the roadmap for how payments show up in physical, in-person moments for our customers, designing experiences that feel seamless at the front desk and scale across single, multi-location and franchise businesses.
  • Own the roadmap for hardening the cross-service financial logic that spans Boulevard's systems — reducing coupling, driving continuous improvement in our shipping cycles, and building deterministic safeguards (e.g., duplicate charge prevention) that protect merchants and clients from costly errors.
  • Define and deliver canonical reconciliation reporting, automated settlement ingestion and validation, and exception alerting — closing the gaps that today require manual financial review as transaction volume scales.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Engineering to improve fraud monitoring and signal ingestion, automate dispute workflows, and reduce Boulevard's dependency on manual investigation as payment volume and complexity grow.
