Senior Product Manager - Clinical Quality

Foodsmart
$150,000 - $190,000Remote

About The Position

Foodsmart is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the systems and capabilities that ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient care delivery at scale. This role is central to our clinical operations, focusing on the tools, workflows, and safety mechanisms that empower Registered Dietitians (RDs) and maintain the integrity of member interactions. The primary customers are the clinical team, care operations, and RDs, but the work directly impacts the member experience through safer care, higher-quality interactions, and a scalable clinical model. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate with Clinical Operations, Engineering, and Data teams to streamline RD workflows, thoughtfully integrate AI-assisted tools, and build safety mechanisms for quality-assured scaling. This position is ideal for a product manager who excels at increasing impact by enhancing the effectiveness of expert users and applies a structured, evidence-based approach to clinical tooling. The role involves tackling complex challenges in AI-assisted care and clinical safety, requiring a deep understanding of clinical needs, even without a clinical background.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with time spent on internal tooling, clinical operations, or workflow-oriented products.
  • Experience owning a product area end-to-end with meaningful autonomy — from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Comfort working on AI-assisted features or workflow automation — you don't need to be an ML engineer, but you need to be a thoughtful product owner in this space.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to guide product decisions and measure clinical or operational outcomes.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional delivery in fast-paced environments.
  • Deeply empathetic to clinicians and members — you understand that RDs are experts, not just users, and you build tools that respect their clinical judgment while reducing administrative burden.
  • Structured and evidence-informed — you bring rigor to ambiguous clinical problems and use data to validate hypotheses.
  • Comfortable at the intersection of product and clinical operations — you can hold a conversation with a dietitian, a compliance officer, and an engineer on the same day.
  • Execution-oriented with a bias toward simplicity — you know that in clinical contexts, a clean, reliable tool beats a feature-rich one that introduces risk.
  • A clear communicator who can translate clinical complexity into crisp product requirements and explain product decisions back to clinical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in digital health, telehealth, clinical workflow tools, or care delivery platforms.
  • Exposure to healthcare compliance, clinical quality frameworks, or patient safety standards.
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or value-based care contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for the Clinical Quality & Safety pod with a clear mandate: make Foodsmart's RD workforce more effective, raise the quality bar of care delivery, and build the safety infrastructure that lets the clinical model scale.
  • Work closely with Clinical Operations to deeply understand RD workflows, identify friction points, and translate them into prioritized product improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data to define, build, and iterate on AI-assisted clinical tools.
  • Define and track quality and efficiency metrics: session completion rates, RD time-on-task, documentation accuracy, and other indicators of clinical operational health.
  • Own the product-side of Foodsmart's clinical safety framework — the guardrails, escalation pathways, and quality checks embedded in the platform that protect members and support clinical judgment.
  • Partner with Clinical Leadership and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements and clinical standards into scalable product features.
  • Build and maintain feedback loops that surface safety signals from care delivery into the product roadmap — ensuring issues are caught, addressed, and prevented systemically.
  • Work with Data and Engineering to build instrumentation and measurement frameworks that track clinical quality outcomes across the member journey.
  • Collaborate with adjacent pods to ensure clinical quality considerations are embedded in new member and client experiences.
