Senior Product Manager, AI Infrastructure

Qualified Health PBCPalo Alto, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Transform healthcare with us. At Qualified Health, we're redefining what's possible with Generative AI in healthcare. Our infrastructure provides the guardrails for safe AI governance, healthcare-specific agent creation, and real-time algorithm monitoring, working alongside leading health systems to drive real change. This is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to build the future of AI in healthcare, solve complex challenges, and make a lasting impact on patient care. If you're ambitious, innovative, and ready to move fast, we'd love to have you on board.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years owning platform, developer tools, or infrastructure products
  • Demonstrated pattern recognition across products: you have taken capabilities built for one customer or team and turned them into shared components others adopted
  • Deep technical fluency: you can go toe-to-toe with engineers on workflow orchestration, APIs, event-driven architectures, and config-driven systems, and you can read a schema and follow a codebase
  • Experience with builder tools, low-code platforms, internal developer platforms, or component libraries at scale
  • Experience shipping products in regulated environments (healthcare, finance, or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills: you can explain platform tradeoffs to executives and product requirements to engineers, and you can influence teams you do not manage
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make decisions with incomplete information
  • Able to work onsite in Palo Alto 3 days/week

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of healthcare operations or health system IT environments
  • Experience with workflow engines (Temporal or similar)
  • Experience with LLM agent frameworks
  • Experience with design systems and component governance

Responsibilities

  • Identify and productize the scalable primitives: the triggers, ingestion patterns, extraction steps, review gates, and serving patterns that recur across products, so they are built once, versioned, and reused everywhere.
  • Ensure products ship scalable, not as one-offs: generalization requirements are set before build, and the second customer costs a fraction of the first.
  • Drive the builder tools themselves: the roadmap for Workflow Factory and its sibling builders, and the runtime underneath them, including registries, config-driven backends, and the path from a built workflow to production.
  • Own the roadmap for builder tools and core primitives, balancing customer commitments, internal builder needs, and platform reuse.
  • Build and maintain the primitive catalog: what exists, its interface, its version, and who consumes it.
  • Define and run the promotion process that turns per-customer builds into reusable platform components with clear interfaces.
  • Set generalization and scalability requirements at the start of every new product build, and enforce them at review gates.
  • Write complete acceptance criteria before work commits to a sprint; no ambiguity reaches engineering.
  • Own product requirements for the workflow registry, config-driven backends, and the build-to-production pipeline, in partnership with the Workflow Factory team.
  • Partner with infrastructure engineering on multi-tenancy, performance, reliability, and cost as product requirements, not afterthoughts.
  • Define success metrics for reuse and platform leverage (component adoption, time-to-second-deployment, share of new products assembled from existing primitives) and use them to drive prioritization.
  • Run intake and prioritization for builder tool asks from customer teams and internal builders.
  • Navigate healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, data privacy, clinical safety) as first-order product constraints.

Benefits

  • Competitive salaries with equity packages
  • Robust medical/dental/vision insurance
  • Flexible working hours
  • Hybrid work options
