About The Position

Sema4.ai is transforming how enterprises adopt AI by making intelligent agents practical, safe, and scalable for real business workflows. We're solving hard technical problems at the intersection of LLMS, AI orchestration, enterprise systems integration, and production-grade reliability. This role will set and execute the multi-quarter strategy for Sema4.ai's AI finance agent portfolio, deciding which finance workflows to automate, in what order, with what level of autonomy, and how the underlying agent primitives need to evolve. The position serves as the senior product voice for finance agents internally and externally, engaging with CFOs, controllers, and design partners. It is a senior individual contributor role with org-wide influence, expected to raise the product bar across the entire organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping B2B SaaS or enterprise products at scale, including at least one product that materially moved business metrics.
  • Shipped AI/LLM-powered products in production and developed crisp opinions on evals, hallucination management, agent design, and the gap between flashy demos and customer-ready products.
  • Deep working knowledge of finance operations (e.g., three-way match, period close, accruals, SOX-relevant controls).
  • Demonstrated influence beyond direct scope, shaping roadmaps, platforms, or company strategy not formally owned.
  • Technical fluency to debate agent architecture, prompt/tooling design, RAG, eval frameworks, and integration patterns (ERPs, doc stores, messaging) with senior engineers.
  • Executive presence with customers, capable of running a room with a CFO and securing commitments.
  • Crisp written communication, sharp prioritization instincts, and a bias to ship, even with incomplete data.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior staff/principal PM experience at an AI-native company or AI-forward fintech.
  • Time spent in-seat as a controller, FP&A leader, AP/AR director, or audit partner.
  • Experience navigating enterprise procurement and security review at the SOC 2 / SOX / data-residency level.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the multi-quarter strategy and roadmap for AI finance agents, and own execution and delivery.
  • Make portfolio decisions regarding depth vs. breadth, build vs. partner, and shipping criteria for agents.
  • Drive underlying platform requirements (Runbooks, Actions, Document Intelligence, HITL, observability, evals) for finance agents.
  • Define the company-level quality bar for agents touching the ledger, including accuracy targets, SLAs, auditability, controls posture, and rollback.
  • Partner with GTM leadership on positioning, packaging, and pricing for the finance portfolio.
  • Work closely with design partner companies to identify gaps and opportunities, and integrate learnings into the product.
  • Raise the product bar for how the broader product organization thinks about agents.

Benefits

  • Equity
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with a portion of premiums covered by the company.
  • 401(k) pension plan with a matching contribution without age or service requirements.
  • Flexible time off based on personal needs and workload.
  • Reimbursement for annual wellbeing benefits.
  • Work from home equipment allowance.
  • Top of the line equipment.
  • Access to training, courses, and AI tools.
