About The Position

We are seeking Senior Product Managers to build the next generation of Babylist, utilizing AI-native product development methodologies. This role is for individuals who are both skilled product managers and active AI-enabled builders. You will own a complex set of features or a customer journey within Babylist's consumer surfaces. Your responsibilities include defining product vision, understanding customers and the business, framing problems, planning strategic initiatives, and owning outcomes. Additionally, you will build working prototypes, query data and code directly, and contribute to code execution when most valuable. The role emphasizes speed in decision-making, execution, and time to impact. This is a dual role requiring you to be an exceptional Senior Product Manager and to model AI-native product development for the team. You should be adaptable and excited to work on any of Babylist's products based on organizational needs and your strengths. This position reports to a Product Director or Sr. Director leader and collaborates closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated consumer experience with a proven record of defining product strategy for complex areas, leading cross-functional teams in execution, and solving complex problems for consumer products.
  • Likely held Product Management roles at the Senior or Staff level.
  • Customer obsession: ability to understand and co-create with users, bringing concrete qualitative and quantitative evidence into decisions.
  • Ability to solve root pain, not adjacent symptoms, and create segmentation clarity.
  • Strong product sense and taste, with a track record of shipped work and killed projects that prove it.
  • Sharp problem framing: ability to walk into rooms with a recommendation and reduce ambiguity to make engineering and design faster.
  • Outcome ownership: accountability for delivering meaningful results, building appropriate measures of success, and leading evidence-based persist/pivot/stop decisions.
  • Strong opinions, loosely held: ability to move decisively with incomplete information, distinguish reversible from irreversible decisions, and update priors quickly when wrong.
  • Commercial fluency: understanding of how Babylist makes money and which levers matter in your product.
  • Technical fluency: demonstrated understanding of feasibility, tradeoffs, and getting real products into the world, potentially through a CS degree, prior developer experience, or a portfolio of built projects.
  • Force multiplier: ability to act as connective tissue, not a bottleneck, through sharp problem statements, tight scoping, and crisp communication.
  • Adaptability to change: selecting for change, jumping in where needed across team boundaries without waiting for permission, demonstrating humility, low ego, and a bias toward action.
  • Curiosity to ambiguity, not anxiety.
  • Actively use LLMs and AI coding tools in daily work.
  • Intuition for what current AI models are good and bad at, and using that for product decisions.
  • Ability to decompose problems for AI agents, review and refine their output, and combine AI-driven speed with human judgment.
  • Excitement about the AI transformation and shaping an AI-first product organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Contribute as a peer-builder, knowing when to zoom out for strategic thinking and stay closest to the customer.
  • Building is how you co-create with families and separate signal from noise faster than anyone else in the room.
  • Belief that this is the most interesting moment in product careers in a decade, and a desire to help shape what an AI-first product organization looks like at Babylist and as a category.

Responsibilities

  • Own a customer journey or a complex feature set end-to-end, including discovery, definition, delivery, measurement, and iteration.
  • Set and maintain the quality bar, making difficult tradeoffs between business goals and customer experience with clear communication.
  • Use AI-native workflows in your own work, including discovery, analysis, prototyping, instrumentation, communication, and code contributions.
  • Multiply your team's effectiveness by partnering with Engineers, Designers, and Analysts as peer-builders, bringing sharper problem framing, customer insights, and prototypes/code to facilitate decision-making.
  • Design repeatable, low-friction systems that enable the entire team to ship faster.
  • Be a flexible operator, ramping up quickly, partnering effectively, and getting work into customers' hands swiftly.
  • Help build the AI-native PM function at Babylist by sharing successes, teaching learnings, and setting standards for others.
