About The Position

WorkHero is seeking a Senior Product Manager to build the AI agents at the core of their AI-powered back office for the skilled trades. This role is crucial for the company's growth, as the strength of these agents directly impacts how many contractors each office manager can serve. The Senior Product Manager will own the product development of these AI agents, working closely with engineering, service, sales, and customers. The role requires a high-craft PM who enjoys diving into the details of AI agent development, including prompt engineering, tool integration, and evaluation metrics. This is an AI-native role where the candidate will shape agentic systems and leverage AI in their own work. The position is an individual contributor role focused on depth, with the opportunity to significantly influence the company's direction.

Requirements

Strong product management experience, having owned products from strategy through launch.
Ability to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
Strong product judgment, including making difficult calls on priorities and tradeoffs, knowing when to say no, and backing decisions with data and research.
4–6 years of product management experience.
Ability to go deep into details while maintaining a view of the wider product and business.
Curiosity and creativity regarding AI capabilities, with a willingness to rethink user experiences from first principles.
Sufficient understanding of LLMs to reason about their limits and tradeoffs.
Ability to test an LLM pipeline using no-code and prototyping tools.
Experience using AI as core infrastructure in your own work (e.g., for discovery, PRD drafting, prototyping).
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to align engineering, service, and GTM partners without formal authority.
Clear and concise writing and speaking abilities.
Ability to run efficient and productive meetings.
Proactive in flagging problems and bringing recommendations.
Comfort working in ambiguous environments with a lack of established process.
Scrappiness and ability to work independently with light direction.
Willingness to step outside of defined roles when necessary for the company's benefit.
High standard for craft and quality, identifying genuinely good work and lifting the standard of those around you.

Nice To Haves

Strong eye for UX in web and mobile products, especially conversational interfaces (chat or voice).
Hands-on experience building LLM-powered products or agents (prompt, tool, eval work), even from side projects.
Experience establishing an evals/measurement or instrumentation practice, or owning analytics in a prior role.
Early- or growth-stage B2B SaaS product management experience; vertical SaaS or SMB tooling is a plus.
Familiarity with FSM software (Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber) or the HVAC/field-service domain.

Responsibilities

Own your workstream end to end.
Own and evolve the roadmap for your product area, including dependencies, delivery, and prioritization shifts.
Take features from requirements through launch, documentation, and iteration, ensuring they impact adoption, retention, and revenue.
Translate ambiguous user needs into concrete AI behaviors, workflows, and requirements.
Boil complex technical tradeoffs down into product decisions for the engineering team.
Spend time with Senior Office Managers and contractor customers to understand their needs and drive product development.
Define use cases, specs, and tradeoffs with the engineering team, bringing strong UX instincts for AI-driven workflows.
Maintain a high standard for quality and partner with engineers on QA.
Define success metrics across customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and agent performance.
Drive continuous improvement through data, user feedback, and experimentation.
Build measurement muscle by owning KPIs, establishing evals and instrumentation, and feeding learnings into future development.
