About The Position

Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed AI fintech startup building an AI-powered communication platform for loan servicing. Their product automates high-volume, compliance-sensitive interactions across channels—starting with voice AI—and is already in production with leading fintech companies. With strong early traction and increasing customer demand, the company is rapidly scaling its engineering team to expand product capabilities and onboard new customers.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of production software engineering experience
  • Strong backend engineering experience (Python, Node.js, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and ship features end-to-end
  • Experience working in customer-facing or product-oriented engineering roles
  • Strong product mindset with ability to define what to build, not just how
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in ambiguous situations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at both a high-growth startup and a top-tier tech company
  • Experience in fintech, AI, or communications platforms
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, or real-time systems
  • Familiarity with LLMs, voice AI, or conversational systems
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience building revenue-driving features

Responsibilities

  • Own product features end-to-end, from customer discovery to production deployment
  • Work directly with customers to understand problems and define product requirements
  • Design, build, and maintain backend systems powering AI-driven communication workflows
  • Drive new product initiatives from ambiguous problem statements to shipped features
  • Collaborate closely with founders and cross-functional teams on product direction
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Contribute to rapid iteration cycles based on customer feedback and demand
