About The Position

Bitovi is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their team, focusing on creative and effective needs-driven design to solve hard problems for businesses and users. This role begins as an hourly contractor on a client project, with potential for extension into a longer-term hourly position or transition. As a consultant, the individual will work directly with clients and other Bitovians, acting as a self-starter who identifies needs, plans, and executes solutions. The role involves augmenting creativity with research data to solve business and user problems, contributing insights to product strategy, and utilizing AI to enhance workflow efficiency without compromising judgment. The position is central to Bitovi's partnership with Figma, requiring mastery of Figma and deep knowledge of design systems. Bitovi partners with companies to build outcome-focused applications through a collaborative, validation-driven approach, delivering valuable solutions swiftly. The team designs and builds high-profile applications with comprehensive documentation and deployment processes, engaging directly with clients to guide them, identify issues, and tackle challenges. The fully remote team consists of approximately 80 designers, product owners, and developers, fostering a supportive environment with a dedicated Slack channel for assistance.

Requirements

• 5+ years UX & design experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• A portfolio showcasing transformative results on enterprise clients.
• Very deep experience with Figma.
• Experience building & maintaining design systems.
• Based in Latin America or close, and able to work a minimum of 6 hours overlapping with Central Time business hours.

Nice To Haves

• Consulting or agency experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with clients looking to improve their design process and use of tooling.
• Building, evolving, consulting on, and championing design systems.
• End-to-end product design including research, product strategy, information architecture, user experience design, user testing, prototyping, and user interface design, with AI as a natural part of your workflow.
• Identifying tasks required to create product solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs, prioritizing and managing your schedule to get things done.
• Interviewing, collaborating, and presenting as an embedded part of client teams.
• Working closely with product, developers, and other designers.
