Join Our Team as a Freelance Senior Product Designer (Outside of IR35) at Beyond Sports! Are you passionate about complex product systems, pixel-perfect UI, and leading the design of next-generation digital experiences that capture global audiences? At Beyond Sports, we don’t just visualize sports, we reinvent how fans experience them. Together with partners like NFL, NHL, FIFA, and Disney, we push the boundaries of real-time sports data, 3D graphics, and AI-driven storytelling across web and native mobile platforms. If you're an experienced Senior Product Designer with an exceptional visual craft, deep UX strategy expertise, and a track record of driving complex design initiatives alongside fast-moving engineering squads, this 9-month contract is an exciting opportunity to make a massive impact. What Your Day Will Look Like As a Senior Product Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how some of the most followed clubs and organizations in world sport engage and inspire millions of fans over the next 9 months on a major project. Working alongside Lead Designers, Product Managers, and cross-functional delivery squads, you'll take full ownership of end-to-end UI and UX execution for major client initiatives across web and native mobile apps (iOS and Android). One day you might be architecting complex user journeys and facilitating design workshops for high-stakes fan engagement features. The next, you could be setting component-driven design system standards in Figma, presenting executive-level design rationales to client stakeholders, or mentoring midweight designers within your squad. You'll serve as a key creative lead within delivery teams, driving design quality, technical feasibility, and seamless developer handoff. Your work will directly define how millions of sports fans interact with live match data and interactive media worldwide.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of commercial product design experience (agency, high-growth tech, or digital sports media)
A standout portfolio demonstrating complex end-to-end product design, scalable systems, and polished UI/UX for iOS, Android, and responsive web
Advanced mastery of Figma, including advanced prototyping, tokenized component libraries, and design system governance
Deep expertise in user-centered design methodologies, information architecture, and responsive design frameworks
Proven experience working directly with engineering squads to guide successful design handoff and QA implementation
Exceptional project management, time management, and visual/verbal presentation skills
Comfortable leading design initiatives and collaborating in an English-speaking environment

Nice To Haves

Deep domain knowledge of world sports, live match platforms, sports betting, or real-time data visualization
Experience designing for rich media platforms, 3D/interactive graphics, or streaming interfaces
Familiarity with design tokens, CSS/component frameworks, or native mobile HIG and Material Design guidelines

Excel at managing your own deliverables, prioritizing high-impact work within active sprint cycles.
Champion continuous design quality and offer constructive feedback to elevate the wider design team.
Drive strong, proactive collaboration across creative, product, engineering, and data teams.
