About The Position

Lobster is expanding its Data Platform and middleware solutions that connect heterogeneous systems across supply chain networks. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer (m/f/x) to help shape how our platform feels and works, joining our Product & Engineering team and reporting directly to the Director of Product. You'll own key user journeys end to end and help evolve a design system that scales across our Data Platform. Working closely with fellow designers, Product Managers, and Engineers, you'll turn complex, technical workflows into experiences that are genuinely intuitive to use.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product design, with proficiency in design thinking and design sprints
  • A portfolio of commercial B2B web projects that showcases your approach to complex workflows, responsive interfaces, interaction design, and the reasoning behind your design decisions
  • High proficiency in creating designs and prototypes in Figma
  • Ability to empathize with technical users and design experiences for a highly technical product
  • Experience improving frameworks and existing systems
  • Experience introducing new patterns or standards adopted by others in previous roles
  • Track record of proactively identifying and driving initiatives that strengthen the team
  • Clear communication style
  • Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities to enhance and simplify key user experiences and improving the time to value for our B2B users
  • Creating and maintaining a consistent design system for our Data Platform and ensuring its implementation over time
  • Visualizing the vision of our unified Data Platform
  • Collaborating with Product Management and Engineering teams, conducting user research, and running design sprints
  • Creating and validating high-fidelity designs and prototypes
  • Collaborating with engineering to ensure seamless implementation
  • Collaborating with other designers on the team on shared projects, exchanging feedback and best practices
