About The Position

Qualified Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience designing complex software products, workflows, AI-assisted experiences, and operational platforms in fast-paced startup environments. The company is looking for a systems thinker who can operate across multiple products simultaneously, rapidly prototype ideas, and partner closely with engineering and product teams to ship thoughtful, scalable experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. If you do not possess a degree in Engineering, you must have experience working closely with engineering teams
  • Minimum of 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in startup or high-growth environments
  • Strong 0→1 product design experience from concept through production and iteration
  • Candidates must have relevant healthcare industry experience.
  • Proven experience building and scaling design systems, component libraries, and reusable patterns across products
  • Experience designing workflows, chat interfaces, AI-assisted experiences, enterprise software, and operational platforms
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Founders
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and design execution across web and/or mobile platforms
  • Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Principle, etc.)
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable balancing speed, ambiguity, and product quality
  • Passionate about AI and the future of intelligent software experiences

  • Healthcare or enterprise software experience
  • AI-native product design experience across complex workflows, internal tooling, and enterprise software platforms
  • Experience working in forward-deployed environments alongside customers, engineering, and product teams

Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple complex products including workflows, chat interfaces, operational platforms, AI-assisted experiences, and internal tooling
  • Design end-to-end product experiences across 4–5 products simultaneously while maintaining a high quality bar
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Founders to understand product functionality and translate requirements into thoughtful, scalable designs
  • Tackle complex problems and help ideate solutions when requirements are ambiguous or not fully formed
  • Translate loosely defined requirements into user-centered product experiences
  • Create storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts
  • Design intuitive interfaces that align with our brand identity and enhance user engagement
  • Rapidly prototype ideas and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ship quickly and iterate effectively
  • Develop scalable and extensible product experiences with a strong systems-thinking mindset
  • Build and scale design systems, component libraries, reusable patterns, and style guides across products
  • Review design work and contribute to evolving design standards and best practices
  • Conduct user-centered design processes including research synthesis, flows, mockups, prototypes, and usability improvements
  • Utilize feedback, user testing, and data analysis to refine experiences and improve usability
  • Clearly communicate design rationale, tradeoffs, and product thinking to cross-functional teams
  • Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  • Create mockups and visual assets to support customer presentations and sales materials
  • Work directly with customers to prototype feature requests, workflows, and tooling concepts
  • Travel occasionally for customer onsite visits, research sessions, team collaboration, and product workshops
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, AI product design patterns, technologies, and best practices
