About The Position

As a Senior Product Designer at vCluster Labs, you are the voice for how engineers actually experience the vCluster Platform. You'll partner closely with a fast moving frontend engineering team to turn ambiguous, deeply technical problems into interfaces that make sense. As a Senior Product Designer, your role will include: Product & UI Design: Design and deliver polished UI for the vCluster Platform, from early concept through pixel-perfect execution. Engineering Partnership: Work day-to-day with frontend engineers to scope and execute product design work, and stay close enough to backend engineering to understand what's technically feasible. Research & Discovery: Research technical requirements and proposed solutions, through UX studies, competitive research, and other methods, to understand their impact on the user experience. Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to translate ambiguous requirements into a clear design direction. Brand Consistency: Work with Brand Designers to keep product visuals aligned with vCluster Labs' brand identity

Requirements

• B2B product design experience: 2+ years designing UI or product experiences for a B2B product, ideally one used by engineers, DevOps, or platform teams.
• Technical fluency: Ability to understand complex software engineering concepts through research, interest in the field, or personal experience.
• User-centric approach: Design with a clear focus on our particular users, understanding them and their specific needs.
• Good visual design sense: Can design user interfaces that are clear, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with modern UI patterns.
• Willingness to learn: The subject matter here is highly technical and will require learning, reading technical documentation, and independent experimentation.
• Strong communication: You can structure a clear presentation, defend your design decisions to stakeholders, and question assumptions when it leads to a better solution.

Nice To Haves

• Cloud-ecosystem experience: You've designed for a cloud provider, DevOps tool, Kubernetes, or another engineer-facing infrastructure product.
• Startup Experience: You have been at an early-stage organization where you function autonomously and strive towards building something great.
