Patent attorneys are among the most analytically demanding users you'll ever design for. Their workflows are high-stakes, deeply nuanced, and largely unchanged for decades, until now. You're the person who makes AI feel intuitive, trustworthy, and indispensable in their hands. You won't be pushing pixels in isolation. You'll be embedded with the customers who use Patlytics every day: litigators building claim charts under deadline pressure, prosecution teams managing sprawling portfolios, IP strategists making million-dollar decisions on prior art. Your job is to understand how they think, where they struggle, and what "better" actually looks like in their world, then design the experiences that get them there. This is a role for a designer obsessed with how people actually use products, not just how they look. You're drawn to the messy, human side of design: the research sessions that upend your assumptions, the deployments that break in ways you didn't anticipate, the moment a skeptical user says "this actually works." You'll do that here full-time, at the frontier of AI, in one of law's most consequential domains.
