About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with a passion for building platform features that impact UX at a massive scale. As a member of AAA, you’ll work across a breadth of problem spaces on deeply technical topics, such as governance, access, teams, identity, and multi-org UX. You’ll lead design for features that mediate how Datadog’s biggest customers use the platform and manage what their employees can see and do. Requirements

10+ years of experience in digital product design
Experience designing data-rich interfaces
Translate complex technical topics into clear UX
Develop fluency in the technical subject matter your product depends on
Collaborate as a peer with engineering to weigh different solutions and evaluate tradeoffs
Exceptional craft and the drive to elevate the look-and-feel of even workhorse UI
Experience creating component-based design patterns and working with established design systems
Work is informed by a deep understanding of user archetypes and business needs
Value data driven decision making but are also confident making a judgment call based on your expertise
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in AI-assisted workflows, using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Figma Make daily for research, analysis, content generation, and rapid prototyping.
Energized by working on multiple projects simultaneously
Give and receive feedback well

Responsibilities

Work across a breadth of problem spaces on deeply technical topics, such as governance, access, teams, identity, and multi-org UX.
Lead design for features that mediate how Datadog’s biggest customers use the platform and manage what their employees can see and do.
Understand the technical workflows, constraints and opportunities within this domain.
Use your influence as a Senior designer to drive the roadmap and vision.
Work closely with your PM and engineering partners to understand customers’ pain points, explore solutions, and build UI that ships.
Prototype in code to share high-fidelity ideas at early stages.
Share your work with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, up to executive leadership.
Up-level the quality bar for what an admin experience can look like.
Leverage Datadog’s design system where it makes sense, but don’t let it prevent broad exploration of different design patterns.
Interface with product teams where features overlap, ensuring a coherent experience across different contexts.
Stress-test your work against a variety of edge cases.
