About The Position

JP Logistics & Consulting, LLC (JPLC) is seeking a full-time Senior Procurement Technician to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in Elizabeth City, NC. This role involves providing technical guidance and support for procurement operations, assisting with administrative and clerical tasks related to the procurement of supplies, and handling complex or high-value small purchase procurement actions. The position requires proficiency in government contracting policies and procedures, and the ability to develop and maintain training materials.

Requirements

Be citizens of the U.S.
Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Possess knowledge and ability to perform simple arithmetic.
Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Possess excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Possess the ability to work with minimal Government oversight.
Possess knowledge of procurement regulations, procedures, operations, and programs related to one (1) or more procurement phases or functions.
Possess knowledge of the various steps and procedures required to provide a full range of procurement support related to recurring and standardized purchases for commonly used supplies and services.

Responsibilities

Provide support services to assist the COCO with procurement operations for CG-AIR.
Offer technical guidance to staff for unusual or infrequent situations.
Consult with the Government (including the KO, SKO, CS, and/or COR) when required.
Support the assigned division and tasks outlined in the contract’s Schedule of Services.
Assist procurement personnel by handling administrative duties and performing clerical and technical tasks related to the procurement of supplies.
Provide training, guidance, and job-shadowing for contractor Procurement Technicians.
Handle complex or high-value small purchase procurement actions.
Develop and maintain training materials and procurement templates for small purchase procurements in assigned product lines or divisions within CG-AIR.
