As a leader in BBQ restaurants, manufacturing, and distribution, we supply major retailers, foodservice partners, and customers nationwide. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to help fuel that growth. We’re seeking a driven, detail-oriented procurement professional to join our team and own the sourcing and purchasing of key ingredients, packaging, and materials that power our production. This is a hands-on, mid-level role ideal for someone with strong supplier negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for building resilient, cost-effective supply chains. You’ll work cross-functionally with finance, sales, production, QA, and logistics to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right cost and at the right time.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in food manufacturing or distribution.
  • Proven track record of supplier negotiation, cost savings, and sourcing strategy execution.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management or Certified Supply Chain Professional
  • Experience sourcing proteins, seasonings, or packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships for ingredients, packaging, and indirect goods.
  • Execute competitive bids (RFPs/RFQs) and secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Forecast and plan procurement based on production schedules, inventory needs, and sales demand.
  • Process purchase orders, confirm deliveries, and resolve supply disruptions or quality issues.
  • Partner with sales, production, and QA to ensure all sourced materials meet cost, specification, and regulatory standards.
  • Track market trends (commodities, packaging, freight) and recommend cost-saving strategies.
