About The Position

ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy. The Senior Procurement Analyst supports the Purchasing Manager in the execution of procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract administration. This role is responsible for managing procurement workflows, supporting sourcing initiatives, ensuring policy and regulatory compliance, and providing analytical and operational support throughout the purchasing life-cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Data‑driven approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
  • Exhibits strong communication and relationship‑management skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to analyze data and present findings clearly
  • Strong understanding of procurement management principles, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to manage and navigate complex procurement processes in a highly regulated or structured environment
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support business objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences and personalities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, execute, and administer supplier agreements, ensuring complete documentation and compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and contractual requirements
  • Support the full life-cycle management of procurement sourcing activities, including Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Competitive Quotes, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), from development through award
  • Process and manage ISO‑NE authorized purchase order requisitions, including PO creation, revisions, and monthly cost‑center reporting
  • Foster effective partnerships with vendors, internal business owners, and organizational leaders to support and advance business objectives
  • Leverage procurement data to identify trends, support reporting requirements, and improve visibility across the organization
  • Coordinate and perform quarterly reviews of Purchasing Department procedures, PIP documentation, and record‑retention materials to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance
