About The Position

The Senior Process / Mechanical Engineer provides advanced technical expertise and leads engineering efforts for complex process and mechanical systems. This role supports and coordinates multidisciplinary design projects across planning, design, and construction phases. The position ensures high-quality engineering deliverables and supports project execution in regulated environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum ten (10) years of related engineering experience
• Strong experience in mechanical and process system design
• Expertise in P&IDs, calculations, specifications, and construction documentation
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications
• Ability to work in compliance with applicable codes and standards

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience supporting DOE or Federal Government projects
• Nuclear project experience
• Field or construction experience

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and coordinates engineering design activities for complex mechanical and process systems.
• Develops and reviews calculations, specifications, and design documentation related to P&IDs, equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Ensures design accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborates with project teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
• Reviews construction documents, supports procurement and vendor evaluations, and contributes to field support activities, including RFIs and design modifications.
