About The Position

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to design and analyze process engineering experiments, characterize hardware, resolve complex engineering issues, and support customers. Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• 4–7 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem solving.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science is preferred.
• Prior experience with plasma physics or vacuum systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on difficult process engineering experiments.
• Perform hardware characterization on a variety of difficult systems.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, perform root cause analysis, and resolve difficult process engineering issues.
• Measure film properties and interpret data.
• Generate internal product documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
• Communicate and engage with customers to resolve complex process engineering issues or concerns under limited supervision.
• Identify and select vendors and suppliers, and partner with them.
• Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and lead project teams as needed.
