Senior Process Engineer
About The Position
Kinder's is seeking a highly detail-oriented Sr. Process Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for developing, controlling, and documenting food manufacturing processes to ensure the consistent production of top-quality food. The engineer will work in partnership with co-manufacturers to optimize production processes, identify inconsistencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position involves travel to co-manufacturing sites to support trial and first production activities, assist in onboarding new co-manufacturers, and transfer/validate processes. The role also requires collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data to make informed decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
- Strong problem solving and data analysis skills, outside the box thinking
- Willingness and ability to travel (50%)
- 5-7 years experience in process engineering or food manufacturing
- Ambitious individual that wants to grow their skillset at one of the premier, growing food companies.
- Self-Starter that requires minimal oversight with an ability to problem solve, manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Very strong organizational skills and an extremely disciplined approach to database and documentation management
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Effective communication and teamwork skills are critical.
- Accustomed to changing priorities and a high tempo, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a great attitude to support a high growth company
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize production processes in partnership with co-manufacturers
- Identify inconsistencies and assist in continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions
- Travel to co-manufacturing sites to support trial and first production activities
- Support onboarding of new co-manufacturers including process transfer and validation
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to drive data-based decisions
