About The Position

Kinder's is seeking a highly detail-oriented Sr. Process Engineer to support the company by designing, implementing, optimizing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes. This role is crucial for ensuring the production of top-quality food with consistency. The engineer will work in partnership with co-manufacturers, identify inconsistencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining process documentation, supporting trial and first production activities, onboarding new co-manufacturers, and analyzing production data to make informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills, outside the box thinking
  • Willingness and ability to travel (50%)
  • 5-7 years experience in process engineering or food manufacturing
  • Self-Starter that requires minimal oversight with an ability to problem solve, manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Very strong organizational skills and an extremely disciplined approach to database and documentation management
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills are critical.
  • Accustomed to changing priorities and a high tempo, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a great attitude to support a high growth company

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, optimize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and optimize production processes in partnership with co-manufacturers.
  • Identify inconsistencies and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
  • Travel to co-manufacturing sites to support trial and first production activities.
  • Support onboarding of new co-manufacturers including process transfer and validation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to drive data-based decisions.
