The Senior Process Engineer performs complex professional engineering duties within a specialized field. This role contributes to the development and optimization of methods, processes, and systems, and may lead the application of materials, components, or products for assigned customers or markets. The position operates in accordance with company policies and standards, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.). Donaldson will not offer immigration sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
  • International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be considered.

  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects of moderate complexity.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision to achieve departmental goals.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring team members or junior staff.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid background in formal project management.
  • Proficiency in advanced engineering software and analytical tools.
  • Ability to identify and drive innovation within established systems
  • Medical Device experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support engineering projects with capital and/or technical risk.
  • Develop and optimize engineering methods, processes, and tools to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in the development and application of materials, components, or products tailored to customer or market needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve program, functional, and business targets.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers or team members.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and, when applicable, external clients or partners.
