Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities is looking to hire a Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Tech Refresh Deputy Systems Engineering Lead, SM-3 BLK IB for the SDA Naval Interceptors. The SM-3 program is currently executing multiple contracts with Engineering scope to mature the system design, complete a design verification and qualification effort, and release a production-ready Technical Data Package. Additionally, the program is concurrently supporting High-Rate Development (production). This role requires the individual to be a strong leader that can support across multiple contracts. We are looking for CAM/Lead Experience - Knowledge of product - Strategic Thinker - Creative and Organized - Mentorship of junior and new engineers critical and expected with team size growing. Candidate will be expected to work closely with the program SEIT Lead and the Office of the Chief Engineer, collaborating across multiple engineering teams, with scope including the leadership of the systems team defining the top-level system requirements, decomposing to lower-level specifications, developing verification methods/approaches for requirements, HIL/CIL development/maintenance, system integration and verification, life cycle engineering and supporting production activities. . Expected to provide technical oversight and execution of the Systems Engineering and Integration and Test scope across multiple contracts working closely with Office of the Chief Engineer. Balance execution across the production, development, and qualification efforts and communicate team priorities and barriers.

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.
Experience in a technical leadership role on a Missile Program, working with cross-disciplined engineering teams
Experience in the Systems Engineering “V”: requirements development, management, and verification, system integration and test, or transition to production of complex missile system architectures
Experience in missile performance requirements development, management, and verification
Experience in system and/or subsystem qualification or requirements verification
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience in system/subsystem qualification or requirements verification.
Experience in Digital Engineering or Model Based Systems Engineering
Experience using Agile framework development methods/processes
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with Cost Account Management or Earned Value Management

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight and execution of the Systems Engineering and Integration and Test scope across multiple contracts working closely with Office of the Chief Engineer.
Develop program plans related to cost and schedule and collaborate with PMO, OCE, and Finance to incorporate plans.
Balance execution across the production, development, and qualification efforts and communicate team priorities and barriers.
Collaborate with all other engineering teams to ensure seamless handoffs and teamwork.
Provide mentoring and guidance to all team members
