Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Hardware Tech Lead to support radar capability development. Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux.
- Experience with configuring hardware setups, installing software, troubleshooting hardware/software/electronics (standalone and networked), and/or interfacing with network routers/switches/firewalls within an engineering facility.
- Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience working with X-Band radar systems.
- Knowledge of electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations on hardware devices, network configurations, operations of software in String/HWIL facility,
- Knowledge of RF systems, radar signal processing, and real-time systems.
- Practical knowledge of system security concepts and tools in Linux environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.
- Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software, with a focus on systems running Linux-based operating environments.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers with troubleshooting and hardware integration activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware, and operating systems.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges including, hardware/HWIL deliveries and material coordination.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.
- Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test analysis.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and program-specific processes.
- Willingness to support 10% domestic and international travel.
