About The Position

The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location. As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer you will be the Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL) for the AMRAAM C9/C4 Development program. The CPTL is responsible for technical rigor of requirements documents, coordination across teams, sharing program process knowledge, mentoring engineers, and working with the technical and program leads execute program tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to leading the product Systems Engineering teams through the architecture development, requirements development, requirements management, trade studies, and providing SE oversight during integration and test activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various subsystems with in the Air Dominance AMRAAM C9/D4 program. This role is 100% on-site at our Tucson, AZ campus.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team of systems engineers and multi-discipline engineers
  • Experience with systems engineering product development cycle
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Secret - Current Security Clearance Type
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience presenting analytical and technical presentations
  • Post Graduate degree in in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
  • Detailed experience in one or more of the following domains: embedded software, nuclear survivability, RF signal processing, GNC, RF system integration & test, 6DOF/model development
  • Experience with Agile, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and/or Digital Engineering
  • RF product and subassembly design, integration, and production support
  • Interfacing with customers
  • Developing & refining CONOPS, system architecture, system requirement , and requirements verification strategies & plans

  • Creating & maintaining specifications

  • Cross-functional collaboration and coordination in an agile environment, with systems team members supporting multiple product teams in multiple agile release trains
  • Establish and maintain relationships with other programs, program leadership, and the customer community
  • Coordinate with program leadership on long term strategy and planning
  • Review and support trade studies, down-selects, and other analyses
  • CDRL management, report development, and delivery
  • Develop materials for customer meetings (reviews, technical interface meetings, status meetings, etc.) and brief customer representatives
