This position will support work located 100% onsite in Palmdale, California. Requirements

  • Must have Bachelors with 8 years of experience, Masters with 6 years of experience or PhD with 4 years of experience
  • Experience must be in one or more of the following: Project Management, Program Management or Logistics
  • Must have active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs
  • Experience with SAP, MRP, ERP or related software system
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop material strategies to support program and production needs.
  • Support the program to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations
  • Liaison for assigned program(s) and supply chain management function including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers and suppliers, etc.
  • Assess supply chain resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasts and delivery schedules.
  • Participate in, long‑term capacity and resource planning, product phase‑in/phase‑out, manufacturing ramp‑up, end‑of‑life and product-line management.
  • Lead affordability, cost‑savings, and/or process improvement initiatives.
  • Prioritize and communicate impacts of current and potential material shortages.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and meet manufacturing and test schedules.
  • Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques related to Logistics disciplines to include Product Support, Maintenance/Engineering Processes and Technical Documentation use and development
  • Ability to formulate strategic recommendations for interim, short-term, and long-term solutions to address immediate and anticipated supply chain challenges.
  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities promptly to maintain project momentum
  • Organize action items and ensure their closure plans in a timely fashion by meeting the estimated completion date (ECD).
