Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Principal or Sr. Principal Project Manager, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be full time in the office and located in San Diego, CA (preferred) or Palmdale, CA. This position may be offered at a Principal (level 3) or Sr. Principal (level 4).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant professional experience OR a Master’s degree and 3 years relevant professional experience OR a PhD degree and 1 year relevant professional experience (for Principal level).
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience OR a Master’s degree and 6 years relevant professional experience. Or a PhD degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience (for Sr. Principal level).
  • Experience with understanding cost types (e.g: Direct, Indirect) and cost elements (e.g: Labor, Fringe, Overhead, General and Administrative (G&A), Travel, etc).
  • Knowledge of Product Support Technical Disciplines (i.e Reliability and Maintainability (R&M), Technical Publications, DMSMS and Obsolescence, Training, Modeling and Simulation (M&S), etc).
  • Experience with BOE, Technical Assessment Matrix (TAM), and/or Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued secret clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Active In-Scope Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Previous experience working Product Support efforts on development and/or sustainment programs.
  • Knowledge of government proposal Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense FARs (DFAR) government regulations
  • Experience with an NGAS Business Unit Proposal Review Board (PRB) process
  • Working knowledge and experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms (e.g: Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management experience as a Work Package Manager (WPM) or Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Previous experience working on RQ4 or MQ4 programs

Responsibilities
