Requirements

  • Electrical design experience
  • Experience with Smartplant Electrical (SPEL) and Smartplant Instrumentation (SPI), AutoCAD and MicroStation design software packages
  • Experience with the Smart Plant 3D, participate in 3D model reviews.
  • Detailed drawings for lighting; small power and earthing systems; HV/LV single line diagrams; wiring and control schematic diagram; AC/DC distribution panels, process area electrical equipment layouts, substation and switchyard layouts, cable tray, above grade and underground cable layouts, ductbank sizing and layouts, preparation of installation details, grounding plans, lightning layouts.
  • Cable schedules, cable pulling calculations, cable tray sizing calculations, cable selection & sizing calculations.
  • Lighting calculations (using software AGI32, etc.)
  • A Degree 2 or 3 year technical diploma in with discipline specific training.

Nice To Haves

  • AVEVA E3D is a plus.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in electrical design and drafting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide discipline team supervision by directing project execution activities and preparing discipline specific deliverables for one large or several smaller projects.
  • Electrical Design lead on small, mid-sized and large projects
  • Provide drawing layout and design development, applying industry and client standards and codes.
  • Guide and/or assist on 3D modelling
  • Assists or drives the development of Total Installed Cost (TIC) and engineering estimates.
  • Ability to travel to job sites to perform panel audits and walkdown raceway routing
  • Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the project, etc.
  • Exhibit well developed technical knowledge, skills and supervisory skills
  • Interact and guide our work-share offices, provide coordination and provide quality assurance
