About The Position

This role is a key support position for industrial and commercial projects, guiding them from the planning stages through the design phase. The Senior Electrical Designer will work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, independently managing moderate to complex projects of various sizes. Collaboration with a licensed Engineer or Project Manager is expected. The position requires expertise and experience to drive high-quality design solutions and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum five (5) years of engineering design experience in civil, municipal, or related infrastructure projects.
Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and/or OpenRoads, along with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documentation and apply them to project design and execution.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical engineering plans, drawings, models, and construction documents using AutoCAD for industrial, commercial, and municipal projects.
Perform electrical system design and analysis, including load calculations, power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, tele/data, public address, and other low-voltage systems.
Size and select electrical equipment, panelboards, generators, transfer switches, and related components while coordinating with vendors and utility providers.
Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated project solutions and evaluate system alternatives.
Support project execution through site observations, construction coordination, preparation of visual aids, maps, reports, and technical documentation, while ensuring compliance with applicable engineering standards and codes.
