About The Position

Forcepoint is seeking a full-time Senior Principal Cyber Engineer to serve as the highest-level individual contributor technical authority within the Professional Services organization. This individual will lead the most complex, strategic, and high-visibility customer engagements across Forcepoint's global portfolio, drive thought leadership internally and externally, and act as a force multiplier across the PS engineering team.

Requirements

  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related field with 12+ years of cyber security experience, including deep expertise in enterprise architecture, security operations, and complex software solution delivery.
  • Multi-Product Mastery: expert-level knowledge of DLP, CASB, SSE, DSPM, SASE, and the broader data security and zero trust landscape, with authority across the competitive landscape.
  • Expert-level Windows / macOS / Linux/Unix administration and software distribution at enterprise scale.
  • Expert understanding of security design, identity (AD/LDAP/IDP/SAML/OIDC), computer virtualization, and multi-cloud architecture (Azure/AWS/GCP) including cloud-native security services.
  • Expert network architecture: zero trust, SASE, SD-WAN, microsegmentation, advanced firewall/proxy, and hybrid/cloud network security design.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and influence stakeholders at all levels including C-suite and government program leadership.
  • Proven track record resolving critical escalations in enterprise or government environments; leads effectively in a remote, globally distributed organization.

  • Deep familiarity with the full Forcepoint product portfolio and competitive landscape.
  • Expert Python, shell scripting, SQL, XML; proficiency in at least one additional language (Go, PowerShell, JavaScript).
  • Proven architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale REST API and automation frameworks across complex, multi-vendor security ecosystems.
  • SOAR orchestration platforms (Splunk SOAR, Palo Alto XSOAR, or equivalent) at architect or platform-owner level.
  • CISSP or CISM preferred; CCSP plus cloud professional certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III (e.g., CISSP, CASP+) required for government-facing engagements.
  • MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat-informed defense strategies applied to data-centric security architectures.
  • Public speaking, conference presentation, or published technical writing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the most complex, multi-product, enterprise-scale deployments across Forcepoint's COTS cyber portfolio, including cross-domain integration with customer security ecosystems.
  • Serve as the definitive escalation point for critical technical issues across the PS organization; own resolution of high-severity incidents and drive post-incident review and remediation strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level technical documentation, architecture blueprints, and Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) for C-suite and government leadership audiences.
  • Represent PS as a subject matter authority in customer advisory boards, industry conferences, and partner forums.
  • Function as a strategic technical advisor and co-seller at the highest account tiers; partner with VP/C-level sales leadership to shape deal strategy, accelerate large pursuits, influence procurement decisions, and define the customer's multi-year security architecture roadmap.
  • Define and govern integration architecture standards across the PS organization; lead enterprise-scale API and automation frameworks spanning SIEMs, SOAR platforms, identity providers, and cloud-native services; set best practices adopted organization-wide.
  • Own the formal product feedback and roadmap influence process for the PS organization; synthesize field intelligence from all PS engineers into structured, prioritized gap reports delivered to product and engineering leadership on a recurring cadence.
  • Mentor and technically develop Principal (Prof5) and Senior (Prof4) engineers; define technical standards, deployment playbooks, and integration patterns used across the global PS team; autonomously represents PS externally at customer advisory boards, industry conferences, and partner forums.
