About The Position

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Principal Account Manager (Key Account Manager) to lead the account strategy and sales execution for a major automotive OEM headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area — a vertically integrated, software-defined vehicle innovator that designs its own silicon and E/E architecture, moves at a pace unlike traditional automotive, and is pioneering adjacent market innovation in energy storage, robotics, and AI compute. This is a highly strategic account with complex, fast-moving requirements. You will define and lead the Americas strategy in conjunction with the Global Account Leader, drive customer understanding throughout ADI, and foster executive-level engagement between the two companies — establishing ADI as a strategic partner while growing profitable revenue. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area for daily proximity to the customer's engineering and decision-making centers. Travel of approximately 20–30% is expected, domestic and occasional international.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related technical discipline; advanced degree (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in sales, account management, product marketing, field applications, or related customer-facing roles, with a strong track record of results
  • Experience selling into the automotive industry, ideally with automotive OEMs; exposure to adjacent markets such as energy storage, robotics, or AI infrastructure is a strong plus
  • Proven expertise in the semiconductor sales process, including early-stage innovation engagement and design-in strategy
  • Working knowledge of high-level power system architecture, electronic design, and embedded / application software
  • Strong executive communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge appropriately and create constructive tension to drive results
  • Ability to synthesize complex information across external market, customer, and ADI perspectives, and to thrive in a fast-evolving technology environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and program management capability across matrixed organizations; able to lead and inspire an indirect team
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary, including overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable revenue growth and market share expansion across the account's automotive and adjacent business lines, owning overall account performance
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Strategic Account Plan with long-range, multi-year revenue objectives aligned to ADI Business Unit and global account priorities
  • Engage across the customer's full decision-making lifecycle — from early solution definition and E/E architecture influence through design win and commercialization — positioning ADI's differentiated, value-based solutions with a customer that designs its own silicon
  • Develop and execute strategies to capture new and competitive business, assessing current and future SAM potential while protecting ADI and customer IP
  • Synthesize the customer's organization and decision model, build an executive relationship map, and facilitate strategic engagement between ADI and customer senior leadership
  • Translate customer strategies into actionable internal plans, aligning cross-functional stakeholders to address complex business opportunities
  • Represent the voice of the customer to ADI executive Business Unit leadership, providing regular business updates, forecasts, and account insights

Benefits

  • medical, vision and dental coverage
  • 401k
  • paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
  • discretionary performance-based bonus
