About The Position

This role combines hands-on electrical design, power electronics development, system validation, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with high-power electronics, switching power supplies, PCB design, and embedded control systems. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex engineering projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong experience designing power electronics systems, including DC-DC switching power supplies.
  • Experience with high-current, high-power, digitally controlled power systems preferred.
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, component selection, and hardware validation.
  • Experience with embedded microcontrollers and hardware/software integration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while leading technical projects and supporting a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Project leadership or engineering project management experience.
  • Cadence Allegro PCB design experience.
  • Thermal management or thermal control experience.
  • Verilog FPGA logic design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of high-power DC-DC switching power supplies and electronic systems.
  • Perform circuit design, analog simulation, component selection, schematic development, and PCB layout support.
  • Develop and optimize digitally controlled power systems using microcontrollers and embedded technologies.
  • Create and execute hardware validation plans, diagnostic tools, and testing procedures to verify system performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical designs and support product improvements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical leadership on engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Develop engineering documentation, including user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and technical support materials.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define product requirements and deliver effective engineering solutions.
