About The Position
The Avionics Power Electronics organization is seeking a Senior Electrical/Power Engineer. This role involves working on Avionics projects, designing and developing power conversion systems, and solving complex aerospace projects. The engineer will have the opportunity to work on various power conversion systems with different power levels and frequency ranges, including DC/DC and AC/DC. The position offers learning opportunities from top power supply experts in the industry, with support in design reviews and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Experience with various power levels and frequency ranges, DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion designs (topologies, components, control, packaging, etc.).
- Experience with EMC/EMI, thermal stress, and other environmental issues and their impact on design methodology.
- Knowledge in Power supply magnetics design.
- Must be a U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience developing, capturing, and reviewing system level power requirements (MILSTD-704, MIL-STD- 461, and DO-160) or similar from different industries.
- Planar magnetics design or simulation experience.
