The Operations unit in the University Registrar's Office is responsible for providing advice and support to academic divisions and Strategic Enrolment Management on key processes and systems to support the student experience. These include processes and systems related to admissions, student financial assistance, transcripts and related processes. The Operations unit manages, monitors and evaluates these systems and works with stakeholders across the university to recommend and advocate for system enhancement. This unit is the key central university resource on student information system matters including admissions, financial aid, records, registration and related functions. The Operations unit also provides direct technical and business process support to other Strategic Enrolment Management (Student Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid) to ensure the smooth functioning and continued development of technical systems supporting admissions and student records. Under the direction of the Manager, Data and Analytics, the incumbent provides business intelligence solutions to the VPSEM (Vice-President, Strategic Enrollment Management) initiatives at the University of Toronto. The incumbent will conduct thorough analyses and prepare institutional reports for faculties and divisions that will help improve decision-making regarding overall project design. To perform this role, the incumbent will need to possess various technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS, and have experience working with visualization technologies such as Tableau and Power BI. The incumbent will work closely with multiple VPSEM teams, including those responsible for Student Recruitment, Admissions, and Financial Aid.
