About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Power BI Developer with a strong background in production support, dashboard development, and stakeholder management, particularly within the finance domain. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Power BI reporting environment. You will be responsible for end-to-end support of production reports, developing advanced analytical solutions, and collaborating closely with finance stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights.

Requirements

• 15+ years of overall IT experience.
• 10+ years in BI / Data Analytics / Reporting.
• Strong experience in production support and maintenance of BI solutions.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (Desktop & Service).
• Strong experience in Paginated Reports (Power BI Report Builder / SSRS).
• Strong experience in Advanced DAX and data modeling.
• Strong experience in Power Query (M language).
• Strong SQL expertise.
• Experience with Snowflake or similar data platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• High attention to detail (critical for Finance reporting).
• Ability to manage production issues under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with dbt or modern data stack.
• Exposure to Azure ecosystem (ADF, Synapse).
• Experience in Finance reporting and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of report bursting and subscription models.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for Power BI reports and dashboards in production, including monitoring performance, data refreshes, and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, report failures, and performance issues, ensuring adherence to SLA.
• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade dashboards with strong KPI alignment, enabling drill-through, dynamic filtering, and interactive analytics.
• Develop and maintain paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder for pixel-perfect financial and operational reporting, including report bursting, scheduled subscriptions, and parameterized reporting.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations, build optimized data models (star schema, aggregation layers), and support advanced analytical use cases like trend analysis and financial variance analysis.
• Work with data sources such as Snowflake, SQL Server, and APIs, collaborating with data engineering teams for data readiness.
• Manage Power BI Service components including workspaces, datasets, dataflows, and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
• Engage directly with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translate business requirements into analytical solutions, and provide regular updates and insights to leadership.
