The Senior Portfolio Manager manages a portfolio of physical and financial wholesale power derivatives to deliver adjusted earnings targets. Products may include load-following, deterministic, and block energy products, typically bundled with capacity, renewable energy credits, ancillary services, and other products for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers. The role leads deal teams for transactions, bringing together traders and representatives from valuation, legal, credit, risk, accounting, and regulatory/legislative affairs. The role partners with Origination on structured transactions to maximize value, identify risks, and implement contractual protections. The position also identifies, coordinates, and leads bidding processes for standard and non-standard full-requirement transactions. It manages profit and loss for a portion of the full-requirements portfolio by monitoring performance, tracking market rules and conditions, and optimizing hedge and deal positions.
