Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, nonprofit management or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Seven years’ experience with nonprofit organizations, grantmaking, and/or program planning and management.
  • Five or more years’ experience working with executive-level leaders and Board members.
  • Three or more years’ supervisory experience.
  • Experience communicating complex investment concepts with broad, diverse audiences.
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide service that is courteous and competent, promoting trust and confidence.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and meeting facilitation.
  • Strong interest in or knowledge of the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
  • Demonstrate experience in equity, bridging and belonging
  • Brings critical thinking, problem solving, and excellent judgement to their work.
  • Experience handling complex issues and concerns.
  • Possesses cultural agility skills necessary to work effectively with diverse people, teams and communities.
  • Experience coordinating team efforts within an organization or community involving staff, volunteers and/or community members.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Experience working in a network environment with an integrated database.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary contact for Endowment Partner relationships including nonprofit staff members, board members, and finance and investment committee members.
  • Works with Endowment Partners to develop an annual plan for their endowment needs.
  • Develops an annual plan for outreach to Endowment Partners.
  • Participate in statewide efforts to advance branch and department priorities as appropriate
  • Oversees annual revisions of all Endowment Partner educational and outreach materials.
  • Educates, presents, and provides information about the program and related agency fund topics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides investment program and performance presentations to endowment partners and other parties upon request.
  • Develops content and supports OCF’s annual Investment Program Update for donors, Endowment Partners, and Supporting Organizations, as well as the annual publication.
  • Partners with the Director of Corporate Investment Operations to develop and fine-tune complex investment concepts for internal and external constituents.
  • Manages requests from Endowment Partners for information about additional giving opportunities and complex gifts and brings in OCF development team members as appropriate.
  • Trains new development team members on Endowment Partner gift acceptance policies, technical requirements, grantmaking, and program policies.
  • Assists development team members with new endowment partner inquiries and providing program overview and investment program presentations to new prospective partners.
  • Provides information and consulting-level education to nonprofit organizations considering creating an endowment.
  • Reviews and manages quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Endowment Fund reports, including investment performance and allocations.
  • Evaluates requests for matters that require legal analysis and collaborates with the Director of Investment Operations to determine the best approach.
  • Oversees extraordinary requests from Endowment Partners.
  • Ensures Endowment Partner contacts remain current in the system.
  • Maintains working knowledge of OCF’s investments, investment operations, and related activities.
  • Develops and stays current on Community Foundation and agency funds topics.
  • Oversees and manages access to OCF’s Endowment Partner portal.
  • Provides leadership and guidance through direct supervision of the Administrative Coordinator, Endowment Partners.
  • Coordinates with and communicates with Finance leadership and other organization leaders.
