About The Position

As a Senior Portfolio Analyst, you will actively analyze, manage, and provide tactical and strategic expertise to portfolios of strategic and more complex initiatives and projects. Enable effective enterprise portfolio management by ensuring data integrity and delivering accurate reporting, portfolio health monitoring, and decision-ready insights across intake, pipeline, and project delivery, strengthening delivery readiness, identifying emerging risks and trends, and reducing downstream rework. Provide portfolio recommendations by synthesizing capacity, demand, readiness, financial, dependency, and performance data to support prioritization, governance, and investment decisions. Lead the development and continuous improvement of processes, standards, policies, and templates while serving as a thought leader for the portfolio management function.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
5+ years of experience in related field.
In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze portfolio performance metrics and key indicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that may require leadership attention or corrective action.
Translate portfolio data into clear observations and implications, highlighting where attention or action may be needed.
Analyze project financials and identify emerging budget, funding, and delivery risks to support proactive portfolio decision-making.
Monitor projects to ensure realized business value and to proactively identify and manage portfolio-level risks, issues, and dependencies.
Support preparation for portfolio reviews, governance forums, and leadership updates.
Prepare executive-level status reports and presentations regarding portfolio health and/or status.
Communicate problems, issues, risks, solutions, etc. both via written and oral methods to stakeholders and applicable leadership.
Provide backup support for Portfolio Leaders during absences, transitions, or peak demand.
Assess customer/client satisfaction through direct feedback/evaluation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on solutions to improve enterprise efficiencies.
Serve as a subject matter expert for project and portfolio tools and methodologies; also responsible for maximizing use of the portfolio planning tool for planning processes.
Train and coach others.
