This role operates under a hybrid working model and is open to candidates based in the Waltham, MA office. Hybrid work expectations are subject to business needs and company policy. We’re looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst to help manage and modernize how we plan, analyze, and make decisions about our IT&D capital investment portfolio. This is a hands-on role with a strategic lens. You’ll own the work that keeps portfolio management running—from data analysis and financial models to stakeholder commentary, reporting, and executive presentations—while looking for better ways to do that work. We want someone who sees fragmented data, manual processes, and ambiguity as opportunities to build something better. You’ll work at the intersection of portfolio management, finance, analytics, technology, automation, AI, and continuous improvement. The right candidate will be comfortable moving from recurring portfolio deliverables to solving ambiguous problems and building practical, scalable capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, portfolio analytics, technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience working with data across multiple sources and building repeatable, scalable analytical solutions.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, databases, APIs, BI platforms, automation, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts and complex data into clear business insights and decisions.
• Financial literacy and familiarity with budgets, forecasts, capital investment, or financial analysis.
• You must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AI-enabled tools, project management, process improvement, agile ways of working, or enterprise technology environments is a plus.
• Experience in a regulated industry or utility environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve data solutions that integrate, transform, model, and analyze portfolio information from multiple sources.
• Own recurring portfolio deliverables, including financial models, analysis, forecasts, stakeholder commentary, executive presentations, and reporting.
• Develop dashboards, analytical tools, and data products that turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.
• Bring a continuous-improvement mindset to the work—challenging existing processes, simplifying and standardizing where appropriate, and identifying opportunities to automate or eliminate manual effort.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into practical data, technology, process, and analytical solutions—and own those solutions through implementation.
• Explore and apply AI, machine learning, agentic AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, analysis, decision-making, and how work gets done.
• Partner across IT&D, Finance, project teams, and other functions to understand needs, solve problems, influence decisions, and drive adoption.
• Support portfolio planning, rate case deliverables, investment analysis, prioritization, forecasting, and executive decision-making.
• Help strengthen portfolio data quality, governance, and repeatable analytical practices.
