Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state. Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Policy Advisor. In this position, you will play a key role in advancing regulatory reform and policy initiatives to facilitate timely advancement of needed projects through federal and provincial regulatory processes. This role is responsible for analysis of existing and proposed legislation and requirements, advocating to reduce unnecessary regulatory burden for existing operations, and to support the organization in its readiness to comply with new or changing regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have experience with regulatory policy and/or government relations in the oil and gas industry and demonstrates high analytical capability and the ability to translate policy/regulatory initiatives into tangible requirements. This role works with most program areas within Trans Mountain, and alongside industry partners and associations to align on key messages for the purpose advocating Trans Mountain's interests on a wide variety of regulatory and policy matters to reduce unnecessary burden and promote transparent and timely requirements.
