About The Position

The Senior Plumber and Steampipe Fitter, also referred to as Team Leader, is experienced in all phases of plumbing/steamfitting. This role assists leadership with daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, achievement of goals and objectives, customer satisfaction, and meeting regulatory requirements. The Team Leader serves as a technical resource for other team members through participation in quality control and improvement activities, staff development activities, and provides daily support to team members. The Team Leader also helps leadership with facilitating and monitoring the work process of a designated team, including internal construction projects. This is an on-site position located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-secondary/vocational training.
  • MPLB preferred.
  • Journeyman's license from the Commonwealth of VA or State of NC.
  • Drivers License.
  • 3 years Plumbing experience.
  • 3 years Steampipe Fitter experience.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of Sentara Norfolk General campus.

  • MPLB preferred.
