About The Position

Maritime Digital Production (MDP) is the software and digital systems function within Anduril's Heavy Metal division. The team builds the software-defined shipyard technology stack, including data infrastructure, ArsenalOS manufacturing execution software, production scheduling, and AI systems. Its work is anchored by Arsenal-2 in Baltimore County, Maryland, while development and validation are underway in Orange County, California. MDP operates at the boundary between operational technology and information technology, building and validating systems with production operators before hardening and scaling them across multiple sites. The Senior PLM Software Engineer will own the development and integration layer between Teamcenter and Anduril's ArsenalOS platform. The role connects engineering release with factory-floor machines and inspection systems so that CAM and CAI programs, tools and fixtures, and inspection results can move automatically through the manufacturing digital thread. The engineer will develop Teamcenter customizations and integrations, enable data exchange across manufacturing and quality systems, collaborate with manufacturing and software teams, and deploy and operate production systems in factory environments. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in a software engineering role building production systems, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on Teamcenter development experience with ITK and SOA customization in C++ and Java, BMIDE data modeling, and Active Workspace.
  • Demonstrated experience building custom Teamcenter handlers, services, and integrations, beyond configuring workflows and templates.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing data domains, including CAM, CAI, CMM and NC programming outputs, machine dispatch, metrology and inspection data, and the relationship between EBOM and MBOM.
  • Experience authoring and developing NX Open programs to automate NX/Design Center workflows.
  • Technical fluency in modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud or edge infrastructure.
  • Experience building systems that operate reliably under real-world operational constraints, such as high availability, low latency, or constrained environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or OT-adjacent domains such as MES, SCADA, PLC integration, factory automation, or IoT.
  • Hands-on experience with CAM and CAI toolchains such as NX CAM, Vericut, and PolyWorks, and industrial data protocols such as MTConnect and OPC-UA.
  • Familiarity with model-based definition standards including STEP AP242, ASME Y14.41, and CAD PMI, and with QIF for inspection data exchange.
  • Familiarity with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, and AI-enabled software development workflows.
  • Experience in hyper-growth startup-like environments, with demonstrated success balancing speed, ambiguity, and long-term system health.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, WMS, or manufacturing planning systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing industries with hands-on exposure to assembly lines or production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own integrations that transfer CAM and CAI data from Teamcenter to the shop floor, including NX CAM outputs, DNC dispatch to machine controls, and return of as-run data.
  • Develop custom Teamcenter extensions using ITK and SOA, BMIDE data model changes, and Active Workspace interfaces for manufacturing workflows.
  • Integrate CAI and metrology systems so measured results are returned to the digital thread as structured data.
  • Automate EBOM-to-MBOM propagation and model-based definition data flow into downstream manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Expose manufacturing data through APIs for partner teams in scheduling, applied AI, and manufacturing systems.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to understand production workflows and translate them into software requirements.
  • Write production-quality code with comprehensive tests and participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
  • Deploy and operate systems in factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks.
  • Use AI tooling, including coding assistants and automation, in the development workflow and contribute to team engineering practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are considered part of total compensation.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as comprehensive and competitive and available at little to no cost to employees.
