About The Position

As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of our international interdisciplinary team and act as the first point of contact for infrastructure in the creation of distributed systems. Your many years of experience in operations will help you understand the technical and functional requirements of customers and internal projects. We build individual solutions for top companies in Germany and also take over maintenance and hosting for them. We work closely with our cloud partners (Azure Gold Partner) and are constantly evolving. If DevOps is a mindset for you and you have a strong automation gene, you should read on. Requirements

  • You have many years of experience in Platform Engineering, in a DevOps environment, or in a comparable technical role.
  • You are proficient in Linux systems and their tools and have sound knowledge in building network infrastructures (e.g., VPC, Routing, Security).
  • You have in-depth experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • You are experienced in the design and operation of microservices architectures and in container orchestration using Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, or GKE.
  • You are proficient in Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform, Pulumi, CDK, or Ansible and have experience with CI/CD systems like GitHub or Azure DevOps and deployment strategies.
  • You also have knowledge in the area of Observability (Monitoring, Logging, Tracing) and stable platform operations.
  • You have experience with security principles (e.g., Zero Trust, Least Privilege) and patch management (network, VMs, Kubernetes).
  • You are characterized by a structured, self-reliant way of working and a high standard of quality for your own results.
  • You communicate confidently in German (C1 level) and English (B2 level) and enjoy working in international teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Cloud, Linux, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with security and governance services (e.g., Defender, Sentinel, Security Hub, Guard Duty).
  • Experience in building platform-wide standards or reusable architectures.
  • Knowledge in cost optimization and performance tuning of cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • You develop modern solution strategies and implement distributed, cloud-native systems on common cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • You design secure, resilient, and scalable architectures and ensure their long-term stable operation.
  • You develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules and blueprints to establish best practices across different projects.
  • You consistently automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes and continuously develop existing solutions.
  • You work closely with our developers and ensure that the platform is optimally tailored to their needs.
  • You competently advise both internally and externally to our customers on topics such as architecture, security, costs, and operations.
  • You are responsible for the maintenance and technological further development of demanding customer projects.
  • You actively support monitoring, incident handling, and the creation of disaster recovery strategies.
