About The Position

First American (India), a Global Capability Center of First American Financial Corporation, develops software, back-office, and knowledge-processing solutions for the company's business requirements. Software Services builds, enhances, and maintains applications across its product suite, primarily using Microsoft technologies, while its R&D division develops title-insurance solutions using NLP, AI, and machine learning.

The company is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with at least seven years of experience to join its platform engineering team. The role designs, builds, and maintains internal platforms and tools that help software development teams work efficiently. The engineer leads implementation of platform solutions that streamline development workflows and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-performing platforms aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud.
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Terragrunt infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Hands-on experience with Packer (Image Builder).
• Hands-on knowledge of designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of configuration-management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.
• Hands-on knowledge of integrating security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, Snyk, and StackHawk into CI/CD.
• Consistently demonstrated capability to develop and build solutions.
• At least 2 years of application development experience using Python and any scripting language, including hands-on code review experience.

• Observability and monitoring experience.
• Experience with GitOps workflows and progressive delivery strategies.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating-system administration in system and IT operations.
• Understanding of networking principles and technologies, including DNS, load balancers, and reverse proxies.
• Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
