About The Position

Bayer is seeking a Senior Plant Engineer for its Saxonburg, PA location. This role will provide engineering support within manufacturing plant operations, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and resolving equipment deficiencies and process bottlenecks. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining technical equipment documentation and records, planning and executing capital equipment investment projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance for medical device manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Management or closely-related field.
2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing automation and packaging equipment.
Experience identifying, evaluating, and resolving deficiencies and bottlenecks using key performance indicators, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Unplanned Downtime, Mean Time Between Failures and/or Mean Time To Repair.
Experience providing technical escalation support for production equipment unplanned downtime & inefficiencies.
Experience maintaining technical documentation & records, including equipment manuals, electrical drawings, maintenance plans and/or spare parts.
Experience coordinating with internal & external service providers for maintenance support and breakdown escalation.
Experience working in a regulated clean room manufacturing environment.
Experience utilizing FMEA tool to identify & mitigate equipment and process risks.
Up to 5% U.S. travel and/or int’l travel required.
