About The Position

Mission success depends on getting the right product built and delivered at the right time. As a Planner III, you will help turn customer commitments, factory capacity, and material availability into a production plan the business can actually execute. This role sits at the center of operations, partnering across manufacturing, materials, contracts, program teams, and scheduling to keep priorities aligned and deliveries on track. You will have direct visibility into how programs move from planning to production to shipment — and real influence on how the team responds when priorities shift. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, like solving problems before they become roadblocks, and want your work to directly impact execution, this is a role where you can own the edge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in production planning within a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of material planning, project material management, and cross-functional business processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, BOM management, Excel, including Pivot Tables, and working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to analyze changing priorities, make sound decisions, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, manufacturing, program teams, and leadership.
  • Proven ability to operate with accountability, integrity, and customer focus in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing programs with multiple dependencies and changing demand signals.
  • Background working in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience improving planning tools, reporting workflows, or scheduling processes for greater efficiency and visibility.
  • Comfort presenting schedule status, risks, and recovery plans to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
  • Familiarity with shipment performance metrics, forecast tracking, and production schedule change analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Align cross-functional teams across production, materials, contracts, planning, engineering, and program management before releasing and executing the schedule.
  • Drive schedule performance by monitoring shipments against plan, identifying gaps early, and adjusting priorities to meet internal and customer delivery requirements.
  • Partner with manufacturing to create and sustain stable, executable production schedules that move product efficiently through production, packaging, and shipping.
  • Develop clear reporting and tracking tools that measure actual shipments, forecast accuracy, and changes to the production schedule.
  • Support Internal Operating Plan (IOP) execution by coordinating planning inputs and maintaining schedule accuracy across functions.
  • Resolve planning disruptions quickly by re-planning delivery requirements when material, production, or program issues affect commitments.
  • Improve planning processes and daily operations to increase execution efficiency, visibility, and on-time delivery performance.
