About The Position

This role involves placing all lines of business for clients, supporting sales and client managers by analyzing client needs and exposures to develop placement strategies, and drafting/submitting to underwriters. The specialist will negotiate terms and pricing, review quotes and policies, build carrier relationships, and stay current on market trends. Collaboration with sales and client service teams is key, as is providing guidance to clients on coverage and risk management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in a brokerage or underwriting environment
  • Demonstrated experience placing or supporting the placement of Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Management Liability, and P&C (GL, BOP, etc.) policies
  • Strong knowledge of insurance markets and carrier appetites
  • Known for delivering high-quality results under pressure and balancing client advocacy with carrier realities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex coverage concepts clearly
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with insurance brokerage management systems and Google Suite
  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license

Responsibilities

  • Place all lines of business (Cyber, Professional Liability, Management Liability, GL, etc.) for clients
  • Support Sales and Client Managers by analyzing client needs and exposures to develop placement strategies that align with their risk profile
  • Draft and submit submissions to underwriters and negotiate terms and pricing on behalf of clients
  • Review quotes, binders, and policies for accuracy and completeness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters
  • Stay current on market trends, carrier appetite, and coverage developments within the relevant product lines
  • Collaborate with sales advisors and client service teams to ensure seamless handoff and servicing of accounts
  • Provide guidance to clients on coverage options and risk management strategies
